Rotary Youth Exchange offers scholarships valued at over $24,000.00 for Georgia high school students to study abroad for one academic year. Applications for the 2022-2023 high school year are open now to high school students in District 6900, including children and grandchildren of Rotarians. Please join us at one of three Parents' and Students' informational sessions to learn more about the experience and the scholarship opportunities. This event is open to all - must sign up in advance at RYESE.org on the District 6900 page.
Jim moved from South Carolina to Clayton County, Ga. in 1964. He is a graduate of Forest Park High School,
and received an associates degree from Clayton Jr. College. Jim earned a B. S. In Psychology from Ga. State
University and is a graduate of Griffin Tech in HVAC.
Jim has worked at Arrowhead Barber Shop (shoe shine boy), Jonesboro Dairy Queen, Clark’s Super Gas,
Treasure Island Grocery and General Engineering (all in Clayton County) thru high school and college. He was
Vice President of Corbin Gas Company, operations manager at Peachtree Trane Air Conditioning, and
President of Corbin Comfort Systems, 1988-2020.
Jim married Dottie Dunn of Morrow in 1978 and she raised two great kids; Morgan, 38 and Danielle, 36. He is a
licensed HVAC contractor, Master BBQ judge, Tennessee Squire and golfer.
