County School Science, Technology, Engineering, Meth (STEM) Project

The Rotary Club of Lake Spivey/Clayton County is participating in the 2020 Clayton Regional Science and Engineering Fair again this year.

The Rotary Club of Lake Spivey/Clayton County joins the National Science Foundation, (NSF) and the Federal Government is working hard to increase the pool of talent that will produce the Nation's future Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, (STEM) innovators. Locally the Rotary Club of Lake Spivey/Clayton County is dedicated to encouraging and recognizing our Clayton County STEM Scholars.

Members of the Club attended and gave certificates to the County winners during the awards presentations. The Club has invited the top seven countywide winners to join us for a Club meeting.

These seven Science fair project winners will be advancing to the state level. They will be presenting their research in front of our Club at a meeting held in their honor on March 18th. Their parents, siblings, teachers and other school officials are invited to be with them. We believe that any opportunity to be in front of our Club members and the entire support group they bring with them, will give them the confidence and motivation to do well at the State level.

Each student will give a presentation of the science fair project that gave them the opportunity to advance to the State level. Each student will also receive $50 gift card to purchase any supplies they may need for the project. This program will be recorded and live streamed.
